  • APRIL FOOLS' PRANKS – choose your favourite!
A)   Hard boil an egg and place it in the regular egg carton the night before. In the morning, ask someone to help you make breakfast and beat the egg to make omelettes. Hand them the hard-boiled egg and watch them trying to crack it!

C)   Draw funny eyebrows and a moustache on the faces of your family members while they are asleep.

D) This can be done in a class, an office or at home. Ask your friends, colleagues and siblings to perform particular actions together at the same pre-planned time like dropping their pencils at the same time, to tie shoelaces, to reboot their computers, to drink water or any such innocent actions. These synchronized actions are sure to surprise anybody who will wonder about what is happening.

EASTER BONNET - a tradition

The EASTER BONNET comes from European tradition of wearing flowers on a hat to celebrate SPRING.

It also represents the tradition of wearing new clothes at Easter in harmony with the promise of spiritual renewal and redemption.

The Easter bonnet is a type of hat that women and girls wear to Easter Services and in the Easter Parade following it.

The Easter Bonnet Parade in New York City is very well-known and it makes its way down Fifth Avenue on Easter Sunday.

FATHER'S DAY IN PORTUGAL - 19th March

Father's Day will be celebrated in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada on 16th June 2013, the third Sunday in June.

Sonora Dodd, from Washington, first proposed the idea of a Father’s Day in 1909.

She wanted to honour her father because he had raised his 6 children as a single parent.

The day was first made a holiday in 1966, with President Lyndon B. Johnson.

Six years later, the day was made a permanent holiday by Richard Nixon.

Nowadays, all men who act as a father figure are honoured on this day.

In many catholic countries, such as Portugal, Father’s Day is celebrated on March 19, St. Joseph’s Day.

Make sure your DAD feel appreciation and very special this FATHER'S DAY!

"Daddy, I love you
For all, that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too."

ST. PATRICK'S DAY - 17th March

We all know that when three-leaf clovers come out, it's St. Patrick's Day
This Irish holiday is always celebrated on March 17th, which is the day that Saint Patrick died.
He was a missionary way back in the 4th century who converted the Irish to Christianity.

Did you  know?

  • Green is associated with St. Patrick's Day because it is the colour of spring, Ireland and the shamrock.
  • Leprechauns are also associated with St. Patrick's Day, although the only reason they are is because they're Irish. Leprechauns are usually mean little creatures - with the exception of the Lucky Charms guy.
  • Don't forget to follow a leprechaun! You will find a pot of gold!!!!!
