T. S. Eliot was born on 26th September 1888, 125 years ago.
He was an American-born British poet, playwright, editor, literary and social critic.
He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948, for his outstanding poetry.
Some of his best-known poems are:
- The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (1915)
- The Wasteland ( 1922)
- The Hollow Men (1925)
- Ash Wednesday ( 1930)
- Four Quartets ( 1945)
