FLAG DAY - 14th June





     

  •    People across the United States celebrate Flag Day on June 14 each year to honour the United States flag and to commemorate the flag’s adoption. 


  • Also known as the "Stars and Stripes" or "Old Glory", the first American flag was approved by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777






THE COLOURS OF THE FLAG:


BLUE : vigilance, perseverance and justice;

WHITE: purity and inocence;

RED : hardiness and valor;



  

 -The 13 red and white stripes represent the original 13  states on which the nation was built.
                    
                      
  - The 50 stars represent the now 50 states of the country.
