EASTER BONNET - a tradition

The EASTER BONNET comes from European tradition of wearing flowers on a hat to celebrate SPRING.

It also represents the tradition of wearing new clothes at Easter in harmony with the promise of spiritual renewal and redemption.

The Easter bonnet is a type of hat that women and girls wear to Easter Services and in the Easter Parade following it.

The Easter Bonnet Parade in New York City is very well-known and it makes its way down Fifth Avenue on Easter Sunday.
